Baby Figling

Mum and I went to the garden centre and found out the back a neglected, sad little fig tree. It was suffocating in a tight plastic container with its roots all tangled up around the base. So we made the decision to adopt it! Yay! So we went out to B&Q and bought a beautiful vibrant blue ceramic pot. With great effort we cut the awful plastic container off of it and placed it in fresh compost. Now it's settling in nicely drinking lots of water and enjoying the spacious new pot :)

My Story

Hey and welcome to my blog,

I'm a 18 year old girl from the UK who transformed into a vegan on Thursday 13th June 2013. I have always had a passion for health and fitness, and have finally found the ultimate lifestyle consisting of: vast quantities of fruit, running, spinning, sleeping, socialising and all the calories I desire (2500 +).

Three years ago my mother became gluten free due to suffering from stomach pain, arthritis and fatigue. This greatly inspired me to research more about health and what the body needs to work optimally. During my daily research I stumbled across Freelee's youtube channel, she taught me all beneficial factors this way of life brings E.G. vast amounts of energy, a fit physique and silky hair, to name just a few, and opened my eyes to the harsh realities of the meat and dairy industry. What really flicked a switch was Gary Youofsky's 'Best Speech video' on YouTube.

I have always had a relatively 'healthy' diet (no junk food) but I now know the word "healthy" is completely misused now a days. My mother and I started the fruit based raw till 4 lifestyle and have been feeling great ever since, no cravings, no hunger, high energy and always satisfied!

I feel very strongly about not eating meat, eggs or dairy now due to the dramatic impacts the consumption of these product have not only on our health but the whole world. The suffering of these animals is immense and needs to be stopped. So I feel I must participate in this vegan movement because animals are our friends, the planet needs to be respected and our bodies deserve our love.
