Really small amount but well worth it. It was full of flavour and has such a vibrant colour. 

Delicious HomeGrown Organic Beetroots

Grown in my Godfather Bruce's garden. I washed and steamed all these beetroot then under running water the skins flacked off to reveal these shimmering beauties. Perfect in soups, salads, blended in a tomato pasta dressing or puréed with chickpeas into a delicious beetroot hummus. Devine even raw grated in salads.  

My First Tinned Jackfruit

I bought this from my Thai shop, it was sweet, a little crunchy, chewy and fruity, very nice. I found out that this is the flavour used in the juicy fruit chewing gum which was interesting to find out. I liked it but still cannot wait to taste my first fresh jackfruit. One day I will. 

Purple Sticky Corn

I found this at my local Thai shop. Thought it looked interesting so gave it a try. Very sweet and sticky inside the pods. More content inside pods than regular yellow corn. It is unusual, nice but you have to be in the mood :) I ate mine boiled and with rice. 

Charming Chestnuts

I found a chestnut tree down the road with its chestnuts fallen to the ground. I was gathering lots of them up when this one fell besides me, so pretty so had to take a photo. 

125 Persimmons for £4!!!

I went to my local market and found these beauties, perfectly ripe and deliciously sweet. Such a great deal. 

FairGlobe Fairtrade Organic Bananas

Theses were delicious and huge! From Lidl only £1 for 6 large ones just like this. 

Fresh Produce Haul

I went to the local market and picked up some pretty good bargains. I also went to my local green grocers, and at Lidl I got 2 boxes of bananas. :D
